Why .NET Framework
The .NET framework is a new Microsoft initiative directed to modify the computer world. More specifically, it is a large set of development tools, servers, software, and services. .NET is an object-oriented programming (OOP) model introduced to help developers create Internet-based distributed systems. It provides a platform-independent framework that enables developers to quickly build, deploy, and manage Web-based applications, smart client applications, and XML Web services applications.
In current IT industry .NET is nearly the most widely used software development tool. But, .NET is a big ocean. It provides lots of features and functionalities. Microsoft .NET is Microsoft’s new Internet strategy. .NET was originally called NGWS (Next Generation Windows Services).
